<![CDATA[ <article> <ul><li><em><strong>Control Resonant </strong></em><strong>lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov isn't worried about launching the game close to </strong><em><strong>GTA 6</strong></em></li><li><strong>He says the game's release date has been locked in for a while</strong></li><li><strong>Mohov explains that "It's not really been a big consideration for us"</strong></li></ul><p>Remedy Entertainment isn't worried about launching <a href="https://www.techradar.com/gaming/control-resonant-sgf-2026-preview"><em>Control Resonant</em></a> so close to <a href="https://www.techradar.com/gaming/gta-6"><em>Grand Theft Auto 6</em></a>.</p><p><em>GTA 6</em> is the most anticipated game of the year, if not of all time, and is <a href="https://www.techradar.com/gaming/the-first-week-of-pre-orders-brought-in-usd180-million-analysts-report-that-gta-6-has-the-strongest-pre-order-campaign-ever-recorded">on track to earn over $5 billion by the end of its launch week</a>, so it's understandable if some studios want to avoid releasing their games so close to its launch for fear of being overshadowed. </p><p>After Rockstar Games formally announced that its game will arrive on November 19, Playground Games delayed <a href="https://www.techradar.com/gaming/if-you-kill-every-fable-npc-playground-games-says-the-world-will-stay-empty-for-some-time-before-being-repopulated-by-full-npcs"><em>Fable</em></a> to February 2027 "so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves."</p><p>However, games like <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/marvels-wolverine"><em>Marvel's Wolverine</em></a> and <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/phantom-blade-zero-release-date-gameplay-trailers"><em>Phantom Blade Zero</em></a> are still locked in for their Fall releases, so not every studio is worried about competing with <em>GTA 6</em> or is happy with the amount of breathing room they do have, at least.</p><p>Speaking in an interview with TechRadar Gaming about the upcoming release of <em>Control Resonant, </em>lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov explained that he's looking forward to <em>GTA 6</em> like everybody else, but doesn't think the game's launch affects Remedy "at all."</p><p>"Honestly, first of all, personally, I'm looking forward to <em>GTA</em> as much as everybody else," he said. "I'm a fan of [<em>GTA</em>] <em>Vice City</em>. But I don't think it's affected us at all, to be honest."</p><p><em>Control Resonant</em> launches on September 24, which is eight weeks before <em>GTA 6</em>, so the Rockstar game shouldn't overshadow the former, and Mohov explained that Remedy's release date has been "locked in for a while." </p><p>"We expect it to be a very complete experience on day one when it comes out," he said. "We've been planning to release this game in September, for as long as I can remember. It's not really been a big consideration for us."</p><p>He added, "Obviously, this is a really exciting year to be a gamer.
